			Manufacturing Services Injection moulding Prolines injection moulding division boasts 5 injection moulding machines ranging in size from 70 ton to 450 ton clamp pressure. These machines can produce products that can range from a thimble weighing only a few grams to a 900mm high traffic cone weighing 6.3kg. Although specialising in the moulding of PVC the company also moulds products in most polymer materials including a number of engineering plastics. Rotational Moulding Growing rapidly, the rotational moulding division currently has a total of 12 rotational moulders that utilise both the furnace and open flame technologies. The machines range in size and can produce products ranging from tennis ball size objects to 3,000 litre water tanks. This flexibility in size and technologies means the plant can optimise the process for each part taking into account the parts bulk and complexity. Materials currently moulded are the typical high to low density polyethylene and also the not so common flexible PVC. Product Assembly It is rare that a plastic product can go to market as a single moulding and usually requires some sort of assembly operation. To this end Proline is adept with a number of assembly processes that can turn in-house mouldings and other out sourced components into ready for function products. These processes include a number of bonding techniques along with numerous mechanical fastening methods. All jigs, gauges and test equipment required for an accurate assembly are developed and fabricated in-house. Other services In addition to the moulding processes, Proline offers a number of added value operations that are synergistic to the company's primary activities. Post-mould product refining operations that Proline can offer include product trimming, machining, graphic placement, plastic spin welding to name a few. Manufacturing Facility The manufacturing facility based in Otahuhu, South Auckland typically runs a double shift during the hours of 6.30am and 11pm week days. The plant is backed up by a comprehensive engineering workshop facility which ensures the smooth operation of the factory at all times .
